How do I get mouse support in MS-DOS mode with Win 98?

I have some older games that must be played in DOS so I must restart in MS-DOS mode. The problem is although I have sound emulation in DOS (courtesy SB Live) I can't get the mouse to work. I don't even know how to go about it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Go to this site and download CuteMouse v1.73.

unzip the files to a folder, such as c:\mouse

if you have a serial mouse, add a line to your autoexec.bat that looks like this:

c:\mouse\ctmouse.com

or if you have a ps/2 mouse:

c:\mouse\ctmousep.com

and that should give you mouse support under DOS. Or, you can add one of those lines to your dosstart.bat file (located in c:\windows), so it runs after you select the Restart in DOS mode option.

hope that works for you

Thanks WildDreamer. I did exatly as you said. Haven't tested it yet because I'm still on the internet and watching a Bond flick. I will test it as soon as I log off.

Thanks again.

If it wasn't for this great place, and all you great people, in all likelyhood I would still be looking for a solution next week!!!
