just like the topic says, i'm trying to get a coat of Universal Black (black with big silver flecks in it) plasti-coat paint extra glossy.

i've primed, sanded, painted, sanded, painted, wet sanded, painted again... now i'm supposed to be using polishing compound to get a final shine to it, but it dosen't seem to be working.

what should be done to make this have a mirror finish?

also.. i was going by the instructions from this tutorial.

thanks in advance :)

wet sand until you've got it as smooth as you can with 2400 grit paper, then switch to polishing compound until you've got it reflective. It takes a lot of work, but that's what you've got to do.
