just installed microsoft visual studio. i went into msconfig and made sure the machine debug manager was unticked in the startup section. however everytime i startup and go to the task manager i still see a "mdm" item there! how do i stop it from doing that??

thanks!

I could be WAY off here but isn't "mdm" your modem? When you hit ctrl/alt/del and it show mdm I thought that was your modem. I also have Visual Basic Studio installed but I don't see mdm anywhere.

Sorry for making the "moron statement of the day". I just looked and YES I do se it in my start up under msconfig. SORRY!

thanks for all the responses.

SonOfZeuz: can i just delete the mdm.exe file? what purpose does this file serve other than to irritate me right now? 🙂
