I just got a Compaq laptop with a built-in Synaptics touchpad (PS/2). I also have a Logitech Cordless Mouseman (USB and PS/2) I want to use when I'm at home.
When I install the Logitech drivers so I can have all the button functionality on the Mouseman, the Logitech drivers also takes over the touchpad as a generic PS/2 pointing device.
When I switch the driver on the touchpad back to the original one, it takes over the Logitech Mouseman.
I don't care about the functionality of the touchpad when I'm using the external Mouseman, and vice versa. But it's annoying to have to uninstall/install software every time I want to use one device or the other.
Is there any way to get the two mouse drivers to peacefully coexist and not take over all pointing devices that it sees?
