How do I get Ctrl+Enter on a URL to open a new tab in Firefox?

The reasons why I need it are varied, but I've gotten used to being able to Ctrl+Enter in the address bar and get a new tab. Firefox doesn't seem to have an option to set it in the prefferences menu, but I'm thinking there may be some line I can add to about:config, or something else I can do to bring back that functionality. Does anybody know how?

Ctrl+T for a new tab and then type the address? Middle click a link? Ctrl+Left click a link?

Link clicking works fine. Ctrl+Enter in the address bar is the one I really miss.

I'll make do with Ctrl+T then typing in the address, but I still say it's complete horsesh$t. I can see no reason why that functionality shouldn't be in Firefox. Actually, there are a lot of things that are in Mozilla that should be in Firefox too, but that's another rant.

Tabbrowser Extensions apparently does this but I don't think I've gotten it to work properly. Haven't tried very hard though

Ctrl-enter in the address bar will append a www to the front and a .com to the end of whatever you typed. Pretty handy. You want www.foxnews.com, just types foxnews ctrl-enter. I think shift-enter adds a .net to the end instead of .com.
