How do I get both cores running Prime95?

I've got two copies of Prime95 installed in different folders. I've got both running. I set Affinity on one to CPU 0 and the other to CPU 1. However, CPU 1 still seems to be doing all the work. CPU 1 jumps up to 100% while CPU 0 is barely moving. Can anyone explain what's going on? Do I need to set Affinity in the Task Manager as well as in Prime95? I haven't installed the Microsoft dual core fix. Could that be the problem?

Thanks,

I ran 2 instances of sp2004 for 24 hours straight, was very happy, then i loaded MIRC 10 minutes later and my comp crashed...

what's MIRC?

I always find it funny how prime95 can seem ok..but go do something else and boom computer crashes

Clearly there is a resourse MIRC is using that is being stressed or as I have found on some occasions after running prime95 and stopping it, there is some instablity but after a reboot everything runs fine

MIRC is what type of app..you may need to up vcore or loosen ram timings...I am assuming you are overclocked

I don't get into overclocking.

Can anyone tell me why both cores aren't running at 100% when I'm running two copies of Prime95 with affinity set to 0 & 1?

Thanks,
