I downloaded Bonzibuddy to see what it was only now I can't get it off my computer. I've cleared my internet temp files and the regular temp files, I've gone into Add/Remove programs and I've even gone into Windows Explorer and I don't see anything.

What puzzles me is that it shows up in my Start Menu when I go to Start> Programs, but when I look under my start menu for the Bonzi program or anything like it, I can't find anything.

This thing is so annoying because it pops up and keeps asking me to have the Bonzi website as my home page.

Help! I want this thing gone. It shouldn't be this difficult to remove.

This thing isn't written by the people at AOHell, is it?

Thanks!

Sal

After having taken a quick look at the Bonzi marketing page, I've come to the conclusion that no one must be without this very useful and exciting tool. According to Bonzi, here's what the BonziBuddy does for you:

Keeps you informed of late breaking news!
He organizes the Internet the way you want it!
He will make you smile throughout your day with his little gorilla personality!
He can educate people of all ages with his wealth of knowledge and trivia!
He makes your computer and the Internet easier, safer, and definitely more fun!
He has the ability to save you money! He will search the Internet for the best price on the products you love!
He will explore the Internet with you as your very own friend and sidekick!
He can talk, walk, joke, browse, search, e-mail, and download like no other friend you've ever had!
He will learn from you!
Once he knows your likes and interest he will search the world and find you new sites you have not yet discovered or traveled to!
He can kiss and hug friends and loved ones all over the world on your behalf!
He will deliver the message himself and even talk and express emotions for you!
He will handle all of your Internet file downloads for you!
He will even allow you to continue browsing the Internet while he takes care of your download!
He will notify you when he is done!
He can keep you on schedule.
He will track your appointments and tasks with his built-in calendar!
He is never late for an appointment!

And best of all...

For a limited time, you may download your own BonziBUDDY -- FREE! BonziBUDDY normally retails for $40.00, but for a limited time, we'd like to say "Thanks!" just for visiting BONZI.COM!

Think about it, they're giving you a $40 value for nothing, and that's awfully nice of them.

I hate this crape, too. I come back to work, and got popups goin', so I know someone's been being stupid again. Ad Aware nicely took care of value click and double click. LOL.....the two pc's that I have that are "off the books" at work never get this crape on them. However, the production pcs throughout our facility have this crape all over them. Funny....

I had wanted it because at one time they had a Parrot named Peedy. I have a couple of Parrots and it seemed like a decent thing to have on my computer because of this. When I downloaded it before, my computer was too slow to handle it properly.

Now.. They changed the Parrot to an Ape and the whole thing is a ton more invasive than it once was. It never use to constantly ask me to make the Bonzi page my home page. It never did any of it. All that it was, was an entertaining little parrot that would do various things including repeating words that you'd type. I used to love to make it curse. Pretty funny... ;)

Anyway..

Thanks again,

Sal

I think the parrot was a different company. I remember it use to be on the SB live disk. (if I'm thinking of the same one) That little purple Ape has been around and free for several years now, I dont call that much of a LIMITED time.
