How do I get audio from two drives?

Sorry if this is a newbie question but..
I know there is an 4-prong analog and an 2-prong digital ports on the back of my CD roms, but I'm unable to connect a 2nd digital cable to my X-gamer sound card. I orginally thought that the reason the 2nd drive was silent was that I used a poor analog cable that didn't fit only one way. I'd like to play audio CDs while playing games that require the CD, and I use the CD player that came with windows 98se.

1. Do I need to have the digial cable for cd's? I thought the CD format wasn't digital.
2. What's the 4-prong for if data goes through IDE, and the audio goes into the digital?
3. How do I remedy the problem?

Thank you for any help in this matter. Is there any website that discuss this? (Google and AT came up with nothing.)

You should be able to run an analog cable from the 2nd CD to your soundcard and have no problems.

You are correct that you do not need a digital cable to listen to CD music.
