I have a DVD entitled "Avia Guide to Home Theater." It's a Setup and Test-type DVD that has all kinds of video patterns for setting up your HT, as well as lots of test tones/pink noise.

I want to rip the test tones off the DVD to my HD, then burn them onto a CDR for use in the truck. I can browse the DVD, but it only has two folders;
"Video TS" and "Audio TS" There is nothing inside (that I can see) the Audio folder and inside the video folder are files with extensions like .VOB .VUP .IFO

I do not know what these are. I've never ripped a DVD before. Can someone help me, please? BTW, I have PowerDVD, the full home version (came with my DVD-Rom) if that helps at all. Thank you. :)

No idea :(

I have Video Essentials (another disc, same idea basically), and I can't get the sub test tones to work. I know the sub works fine with DVD's and music CD's.....just not with the Video Essentials disc. Any ideas?

Check out doom9. They have some downloads for ripping DVD audio and converting to .wav files. Here is a guide that might be useful. The tones will be downmixed to stereo from Dolby Digital, so you won't be able to use them to calibrate your truck speakers or anything.
