I have a Dragon + Motherboard and on initial boot-up according to pcmech.com it says I need a system disk. Where do I get one of these?
PCMECH = Also, you need to have a valid system disk. The disk should include "fdisk.exe" and "format.com" along with the other necessary system files.

Also, could the problem be because I am using the original bios? Do I need the new one? I'm using an athlon Xp

When I hit the delete key on the keyboard, it doesn't go into the bios? should I be able to get into the bios without a system disk?

a system disk is a boot disk. If you have other machines that has Win 98 create one from there. and you should be able to get to the systems bios without a system disk.

To get a system disk:
1) Visit bootdisk.com
2) In Win95/98/ME, Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Startup Disk
3) In Win2K/XP, My Computer->Floppy Disk (right-click)->Format, and check the "Make me a DOS boot disk" option.

You dont need No Stinkin' boot disk. Well for sure if you are using WIN98 SE. Your WIN98 CD has all those goodies on it. Your CDROM should be default 1st boot. I was going to say go into BIOS and change it but as you said you can't get into BIOS. Keep tring to get into your BOIS. Different boards have differents ways of getting into the BIOS
