As far as I know you can only get one of these if you already have a regular credit card. I think Amex provides this service to cardholders.

I'm not sure which of these you're inquiring about.

1) A disposable one time use only cc, this is mostly for kids who are under 18 and people who have REALLY SH!TTY CREDIT ... there is usually a $8 processing fee and you can get these for $300 - $1000. After it's all used up you throw it away, it's like a pre-paid credit card.

2) A real credit card where you have to have decent credit, no annual fee but the use of one time cc's? MBNA, CitiBank and Amex offer this. Read this thread which discusses this.

You need to have a CC with a company that provides them.

I have a CitiBank card & use them frequently.

Ok good because #2 is a lot easier and less hassle than #1 is.

Amex is probably the most famous for their one time cc's but CitiBank (ownz j00!!!!), MBNA and someone said Discover offers this as well.

American Express Private Payments. I think Discover does it, too, however, Discover = suck.

 

Go to giftcertificates.com and send yourself a cert for the amount you want to spend online. It's a one-time CC and you can use fake infos. Only downside is you have to pay a percentage on top to giftcertificates.com.
