how do i get a mac address in win2k?

it's a dos program, last time i checked (in NT4)

type in a dos box ipconfig /? to bring up a menu

What does Lease mean in that? It has a obtained date and an expires date.

That's how long your IP belongs to you (if you get it from a DHCP server or something)...after that period it will probably renew itself unless you force it to, earlier than that.
