I would like to try some experiments with this ic.
It is an optomos solid state relay.

But when looking around, i see digikey and farnell both have no stock.
Mouser has parts available but this part is listed as a part that may not be sold outside the US. It may not be sold in the EU.

Does anybody know about a solution for such a problem ?

what's so special about this optoswitch?

I am severally pcb real estate limited.
I need to (pwm) switch an electrically isolated AC load of around with as few components as possible. I want to see if i can use 2 of these in parallel to switch a 65W load on 48V AC.
It is a photovoltaic switch. Inside are 2 n-mosfets connected with the sources together. On the gates are tiny little photovoltaic cells (Think of a tiny solar cell shining your led torch upon) that are lit by a led that is also inside. That is how the circuit is electrically isolated. When the led shines on the photovoltaic cell, the n-mosfets both conduct.

I have a discrete circuit that works, but i might accomplish the same with only 2 of these. The discrete circuit asks for a lot of components. 2 discrete nmosfets (sources connected) in one so-8 casing (FDS89141), a tiny transformer with discrete components to keep the gate signal under control, a drive circuit and a power supply circuit that is switched in a smart way on and off all the time to prevent as much dissipation as possible. All is MCU controlled of course. It is a concept circuit only for now... It works in LTspice. I have not tested and perfected the circuit as a prototype.
