How do I get 800 number?

Would it be possible to get an online (1) 800 number? My brother is trying to open a home business and wants to make it look more presentable. however,getting a separate phone line through our carier can get pricey. I've heard,there are companies that offer sort of phone-to-pc phone #.

What would be the cheapest?

For infrequent use it's affordable and has tons of features. If you're going to use it a lot, I would look elsewhere.

I have a 1-866 toll free number through Vonage. I think it's $5 extra a month tacked on to my calling plan.

It will mostly be used for tech support voice mail during first few months. Will they still bill him for each call he receives on his answering machine? It can get expensive with customers trying to explain their life story
