How do I get 1280x1024 on my labtop?

Hi, recently I bought a LG LS50 Laptop with a 15" inch screen and Intel Xtreme Video card. But for some reason the highest resolution my desktop can go is 1024x768 @ 60 refresh, even i installed the video driver from the driver cd.

I really want to raise the resolution 1 level higher to 1280x1024, is there any way to do it or is my hardware not good enough for that? need some advice please thanx.

It looks like the LG LS50 is available with either a widescreen 1400x1050 display or a 1024x768 display.

It sounds like you have the 1024x768 display. Since laptop monitors are LCD, you can't go any higher than their native resolution, and therefore you'll need to either learn to live with the 1024x768 or trade it back in for the higher rez version.

The Intel integrated video should be able to physically produce a display at 1280x1024 resolution. If you are being limited to 1024x768 resolution, it is probably because the LCD screen itself is designed to run at that resolution and is telling Windows to only use those display settings.

The max resolutions of lcd's are almost always their native. I'm not sure about laptops, but for desktops 15" native is 1024x768 (full screen).
