How do I format a HD w/ corrupt partition table?

I usually "reset" a drive by using DOS PartitionMagic.
However, this drive I have have a partition table error, soI can't delete any partitions.

How do I totally blow away the drive?
 
have you tried using a boot disk to boot up and then using fdisk to delete the primary partition?
