how do I format a CDRW?

I have a cdrw drive. I know how to use the usual array of cdrw programs such as nero and adaptec's easy cd recorder. I tried the Adaptec DirectCD or whatever it was called, and it's a hassle to have to install it on every computer.
So once I write a CDRW like a CDR, how do I use it again?

If you write to a CDRW just using it like a CDR and not a packetCD (directCD is packet) then you just have to erase/format it.

I use Easy CD Creator 4.02d
Just run it, get to the screen where you tell it what you want on the CD

There is a menu, I think it's about 4th from the left it's called CD or Disc Info or something like that that...maybe CD Recorder

and there is an Erase CD option.
Quick takes under a minute, full takes a few...
I've never used full, apperently it guarantees the disc will be completely empty, but I've never had a problem using just Quick.

Hope this helps.

Yes Nero has the same function. It's under the cd-recorder menu I think, or perhaps the next menu-I don't think you'll have any trouble finding it.
