Usually I used to download something for a floppy disk and then instructions came with it to save the old bios and how to flash and what file nemes....

what am I missing from Asus?

I thank you for the link but they do not show on their options anything for:
K8N-E-Deluxe

unless I am not understanding the abreviations for the flasher software...
They recommend to go to the venor I bout the MOBO (ZipZoomFly) and I went there and see none there. I e-mailed them and will await their reply...

If you see which version flasher software I should get please advise me.

Thanks again for yor kind help

PS
Si soft sandra says:
System BIOS American Megatrends Inc. 1003.009

Tip:
Warning 236 Vcore higher than rated maximum. Check Vcore setting!

How is the Vcore checked and set?

I will need to reboot and see if I can catch the bios versio fast enough my system bootup or is it in the bios (pressing Dell as I boot)

Most motherboards come with a Windows Flasher Utility on the CD-ROM. Install it, or you may be able to run it from the CD. Start/Run/Browse to the file on the CD. I'd install it and run it from Windows.

And your third and easiest option is to press <Alt+F2> at the prompt at first boot-up. Have the floppy with your BIOS file on it in the floppy drive.

You must rename the BIOS file to K8NE.ROM because the flash utility built into the board is set up to look only for that file name.

I just flashed my Asus P4Pe last night using the Asus Update Utility that came with the mobo. If you have that (you should), then it is easy. Run it, and copy your exisiting BIOs to a file you name. Then use the "Update from File" choice and tell it where your .AWD or .BIN file is located. It did it all from within Windows - very simple.

It's easier than that. Make sure that the BIOS is upgradeable in your CMOS settings. Then install ASUS Update.exe - should be on the CD that came with your motherboard. Unzip the BIOS upgrade file (should .BIN or .AWD. Then in Windows, just run the Asus update.exe program.

I did two P4PE's from 1006 to 1007 night before last. Very easy. It looks like this in Windows:

Sorry about the added post - didn't see it.
