How do I Flash Bios

Section 8b of this link.
HERE

<< The first place to go is your motherboard manufacturer. They will provide you with the latest BIOS and the associated flash program, generally including instructions.

Here are some instructions for the Award BIOS

Get a blank floppy disk.
From a DOS prompt type SYS A:
Copy AWDFLASH from your mainboard CD to the floppy
If the BIOS file is an EXE file run it first.
Copy the resulting BIN* file to the floppy
Boot from the floppy and type:
AWDFLASH BIOS_xx.bin oldbios.bin /CC (where xx is the BIOS you want to flash i.e. DL)

This is probably the "safest" way to flash the BIOS. The important thing is to have a "clean" boot. This can be achieved through the use of a 'clean' boot disk illustrated above. Less ideally, it can also be done by pressing F8 before Windows 95/98 boots and selecting SAFE MODE COMMAND PROMPT ONLY.

Usually your motherboard manufacturer will have the best method to flash your bios. Some motherboard manufacturers configure the flash utility with a batch file so all's you have to do is run the batch file. There are basic steps, but it would help, especially if this is your first time, if you gave what motherboard you have.
Then there are also bios's for your video card or your cdrom and other devices in your system.

go to your mobo manufacturer site and theyll have it there...the bios .exe itself should have a readme to help u install also...
