How do I fit 6.5" speakers into my car with 6.75" mounts?

I'm currently driving a 1991 Saturn SL sedan. The car I had my speakers in bit the dust. The speakers are four CDT coaxials measuring in at 6.5", while my Saturn's mounts in the front doors and back deck are 6.75". How do I fit them in? Are there some kind of mounts I can buy? I've look around Crutchfield and other sites without much luck. I just want a simple, cheap solution to mounting these.

make a plate out of whatever you have that holds the speakers and drop it in...
either that or get a migwelder and some sheetmetal...lol

are you really so dumb, as to have to ask about how you seat some smaller speakers into some holes that are bareley bigger than the speaks?

'cause that boy aint ever going to reproduce unless he is like a frog...
ASEXUALLY, since he probably hasn't seen a real girl besides his MOM in forever!

Wow, you really don't have to belittle someone over a serious question like this. Ass.

Go to home depot and buy some 1/8" or 1/4" "hardboard" (this is like cardboard, but 50x denser.. it's the stuff that they make the backs of cheap bookcases out of).

Trace the speaker on it.

Now trace a circle 1/2" bigger than the speaker.

Get a jigsaw, and cut yourself a donut out of the hardboard.

Mount the donut to the car door, and mount the speaker to the donut.

If this sounds like too much work for you, go to a stereo shop, or the install bay of a best buy / circuit city / etc and ask if they will sell you some adapter plates. They should charge you about $15-$20 for $0.63 of material. And yes, they will basically be a plastic version of the above.
