How do I find the IP address of my PS2? And how do I set fixed IP's?

Ok, I just got a new Netgear RP614 router. It comes with a built-in firewall, so I was looking to do some port forwarding.

But, the router assigns each device hooked up to it a different IP address, and I can look up the IP address of the computer by checking ipconfig/all. But, I can't do this on my PS2, is there any way to find out what the IP address of my PS2 is so I can forward the necessary ports for madden 2004?

Also, the manual mentioned something about setting fixed IP addresses for each of the devices so that they don't change each time the router/device is reset? Are they talking about static IP's here (I have winXP)? Because aren't those more expensive?

Thanks.

Take it easy the manual is talking about ?Static? Private IPs not external lSP IPs.

Not need for Manual IP assignment (Aka Static). You can leave the DHCP On, as long as you do not make major Hardware Changes it will assign the same IPs.

Switch On all computers and the PS2. Check the computers IPs and then log to the Router IP table. The extra IP will be the PS2 IP.

Alternatively you can also try one of the free TCP View programs. It installed on one computer and will scan the Network showing the IPs.

Example: TCPnetView

Free. Simple one file, No installation, works on WinXP too, takes a while (about one or two minutes) to scan and report the whole Network.

I tried that program, and it only logged the computer I was using when I ran the program, even though I had the other computers on.
