Theres a hosting company that refuses to stop charging me for an account that I closed months ago. I've called and talked to them; they refuse to cancel my account over the phone and tell me to fill out a web form to cancel the account, I fill out the form and get no output, I ask them to email me confirmation that the account is canceled, they email the confirmation, a couple of weeks later, I get a charge for the account that I canceled. I call them and they say that they have no record of the cancellation or the email that they sent confirming it. I forward the email and they stop replying.
This is the kind of fraud that nobody ever does anything about -- its only $7.00 each time -- I probably lose more than that on evaporation from my car's gas tank. I've sent the relevant forms to my credit card company and have not heard anything from them since (actually, its a paypal debit card. Surprise! No replies!)
I don't want to cancel my debit card because I have other recurring charges on it and it would be a pain to have to move them around just for this. Also, it would take me a couple of weeks to get a replacement card.
So, the only option left is to find out who processes this company's credit card payments and send them a letter. Does anyone know how I do that?
