how do i figure out what type of memory i have

i have 2 sticks of 128mb of mem and i dont know what kind it is....i put it in to machines that i thought was running pc 100 and neither worked. first machine was a celeron 400 i think and the other was a p3 1g. i put it in the 1g and it wasnt recognized (thought maybe 1g was using pc133) so i tried the 400 and it didnt recognize either.....how do i figure out what it is

You can either put it in a computer you know it works in and run a mem testing program or you could have a local computer shop test it out.

On a more serious note I think the chips will be marked with a -7 if it's PC100.
