How do I extract my PowerDVD key from Windows 7?

So that I can reinstall it when I redo my system?
I have a ROG ASUS notebook with PowerDVD preinstalled that I want to get the key from so that I can upgrade the system clean install to windows 10.
A long time ago tech support provided me with a page that had my serial number and a download link to my product. I was informed this time when I tried tech support that they would not help me.
Does any one know of a way to get my serial number so that I don't have to buy again when I clean install? I am not a pirate and am the owner of the software however since I never registered the software they say that they won't help me.
I tried Belarc system advisor but all it did was tell me that I have PowerDVD version 13 installed.
Please help.
Thank you

I use VLC for my computer but this is for my dad who wants windows 10 clean install on his windows 7 laptop that has a blu ray drive in it and I don't want to have to re buy power dvd when I install this.

Have you tried Belarc Advisor? You can read the reviews on cnet.

I remember using Magic Jelly bean to extract a lost key, but I think that program is now obsolete.

If you want the software that came with your Asus, the easliest way would be to make recovery DVDs, or order the recovery software from Asus.

Just a suggestion in the lesson learned category. Whenever you install a program that has a S/N or key ID, make a .TXT copy of it with Notepad and save it in the folder where the program is. My Power DVD from Cyberlink is very old - version 7, but, I can easily get the key from such a file.

BTW, the latest version of PWRDVD is 15, and it does Blu-Ray.

I've been using powerdvd for 3d content. I read somewhere there is a way to use VLC player with some changes to the settings, but haven't really looked into it. PowerDVD works well enough for now.

there was no serial to write down it came preloaded and when I checked with tech support before they provided me with a link that had both the key and the download link but now they disclaim any knowledge of it.
