How do I *EXPORT* Powerpoint to an AVI?

I was recently asked by my boss to create a basic training video presentation. It would be a snap to make it in Powerpoint, but my boss wants to distribute it on CD-R's as a video file. Short of sending the PP to my TV-Out, recording it on my VCR and then redigitizing the video with a capture card (ugh!), is it even possible to do a direct conversion from within powerpoint or with a 3rd party util? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

make slides using jpegs/bmp's

then make it into a movie using video mach or premiere..

not sure bout sound

Is that a built-in feature, or are you suggesting I do a screen capture for each slide? Also, how could I do basic PP animations with that method? Is there any other way to achieve this?

Thanks,
A

Not very elegant, but TV out to Capture card. Saves some work. Have it record in the background.

Edit: Typo, I can type

I was hoping to find a way of exporting directly to an avi, but going S-Video to capture card direct would be easy enough. I might just convince my boss to put the PP viewer on all the workstations and people can just use the native PP file. Anyway, thanks for the ideas.
