At our company we have three dial-up connections for remote users. WE have around 300 users that we have to set up these connections on their machines. Is there anyway to copy the connections on to each machine keeping all of the original settings.

Thanks

In the %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk directory, you should find a file called rasphone.pbk. If you open this file, it should have the phone connections that are setup with RAS. You can also add or delete numbers from the rasphone.pbk.

A similar file is also found in the [system drive]\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk, however, this file actually works for every user on each PC. Copy this to the correct All Users directory on each PC and you will have dialup numbers listed on each PC.

When you copy the phonebooks, make sure the access numbers, names and settings are correct, but check the rasphone.pbk file to make sure NO Username and Password is setup or saved in the file before copying to other PC's.
