How do I enable smartdrive durring my WinXP setup? Not using it takes setup hours for XP to install. What do I need to do to enable this?

My motherboard has a bios setting that enables smartdrive. Other than that, you can probably make a autoexec.bat and activate it that way.

If you have a win98 machine, it's on there. Just copy it to a 98 setup disk, run the smartdrive, then run /i386/winnt.exe

The SmartDrive exe is called smartdrv.exe just fyi.

If you boot off the XP CD, it'll load it.

Travis - there is no Smartdrive in the BIOS, the setting is for S.M.A.R.T which if you have a SMART enabled drive, may warn you if your drive is about to fail. Different animal.
