How do I enable DMA for a DVD-ROM drive in Win2k?

Just installed Win2k on my new system. Not too familiar with it, as compared to Win98 SE. For some reason, DVDs are a little choppy, and I think it's because DMA might not be enabled on the drive. How do I view these options? Thanks.

Device Manager > IDE/ATAPI Controllers > Primary IDE/Secondary
IDE Channel > Advanced Settings > Transfer Mode > DMA if available >
> OK
