How do i enable -connected to internet icon in the tray

Hi, anyone tell me how to put the flashing puter icon into the tray that indicates a connection.
Also when i reinstalled windows ME, the @ symbol has changed places with the" symbol on my key pad,
how do i change this around,

I think you need to put a check in the box marked 'display modem status' in your dialup connectiod - see here

As for the keyboard thing, I dunno

Go to Control Panel and click on Keyboards... In Win2k it's: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Keyboards.

thanks for the info-Humble Fish & Morkinva, right on the nail, keypad reset from (us) to British.

Got the connection icon back in the tray also, the hunter point info (showing dialogue boxes as should be set up) was good, is there a website that has all these boxes for various versions?
