How do I enable AGP 2x on a Matrox g200 + Tyan Tiger 100 + wink2k?

I have a matrox g200 AGP on a tiger 100 bx mobo. According to cpuid, the mobo supports 1x, 2x, but the current status is running only 1x. I am using windows 2000 professional. How do I enable AGP 2x? Is there a setting the bios or in some win2k control panel?

agp speed should be in your bios. have you looked around?

Yes I looked and didn't see any setting for 1x or 2x. Weird..

you can enable x2AGP with MTSTU418. be aware that the most likely reason your card is using x1 instead of x2 is that on startup the card writes to memory & if it doesn't correctly reAd what's written, it reverts to x1 for stability.
there is actually very little real world difference between x1 & x2 AGP!
