I have a one year + liquid cooled computer from Puget Systems, and it works great! However, I think its time to drain the coolant, is there an easy way to do it?? I dont want to have to turn my computer upside down or something... suggestions welcome, thanks!

Erm, perhaps off topic...But i was looking at puget...How did you like their price/service? I was considering them but am all too afraid they're overpriced. I was wondering your opinion...One thing i noticed is their customer support looks incredible, so you may be best asking them hehe...

I loved Puget, I had some major problems when the computer came in..motherboard had issues, video card was broken...they fixed both...i cannot say anything bad about their customer service...however...keep your original packaging....it cost me a bunch of money to send back the computer :(

Otherwise, I really liked Puget, and my next PC will probably come from them too. Liquid Cooling is awesome if you plan to overclock ur cpu...otherwise its pointless.....Its a hassle to maintain (once a yr) and if you plan to upgrade your motherboard/cpu at some point, it might be difficult as well given the water cooling stuff...but check it out..

Ive never had a liquid cooled computer, so I'm not sure if this is the best way.

You could put your computer on a table. Get some small tubing (small enough so you can snake it through the tubing in the case). Somehow snake it to the lowest point. Siphon it out into a bucket. Once its done, maybe lean the computer in different directions to make sure nothing is caught elsewhere in the system.

I'm assuming you want to purge and replace the coolant. It has a circulation pump, right? Why cant't you dixconnect the return line to the resevoir and run it into a container and refill the resevoir as it empties. When you are getting clear water stop and start introducing new collant. Don't use liquid cooling myself but this seemed sensible to me.

There should be a a sump/valve for draining it. Put a basin under ti t & open the valve.
