How do I download android widgets and other stuff without Android?

Title says it all.

with apple, I could just load up itunes and grab whatever.

there are some free widgets and games I'd like to grab while they are still free. but I can figure it out.

You can't. You have to have an Android device to download android apps. Why can't you just use your phone to download them?

Android apps are for the Android platform. They are not multiplatform like a piece of software that runs in both Mac OSX and Windows XP. Truth be told, there are very few apps like that for the desktop either.

If you dont have an Android phone, you dont need the Android apps. What are you trying to do?

What widgets and games are you referring? If they're free right now, they'll likely remain free, possibly with a Donate version.

I don't have an android phone yet. I was gonna get the incredible, now holding back for the shadow/droid x/extreme whatever they want to call it. So I'm waiting to see how that turns out.

practically a rip of htc sense. so I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before it gets pulled.

Beautiful widget is like 3 bucks or so. Can't be free.

there's also double twist which is free for a limited time.

As I said I am not sure if some things are similar to the itunes where its free for limited time only. Hell I grab free ipad games even though I don't have it.

If it's not possible then oh well.

Thats entirely up to the developer of the application. I've picked up some apps at sale prices half their normal price.

I'm just using the random free apps for hte ipod touch/iphone as an analogy to what I'm hoping to do.

If you look around, you might be able to find the .apk for download.

You ought to just buy Beautiful Widgets. If the free app gets pulled, no new version, etc., and you may end up having to find another app anyway.

Yeah, seriously...Beautiful Widgets is worth the few bucks (I think it was a little over $2 with the exchange rate) you'll have to pay for it. Think of it this way, my phone service costs more PER DAY than the widget costs.

Otherwise, just download the APK from wherever you can get it, it can be uploaded to your phone when you eventually get one.
