Have X-Fi Fatal1ty used for gaming and such, but gonna throw house warming party in a few days. I can't figure out how to do cross fades between different sources.

I know for two track played back from PC I need ASIO app like DJ Tractor and so on. But instead I want to use CD-ROM, Line in 2, Mic-in and Aux-in.
It is more flexible as some people gonna bring iPods and other mp3 players and I am NOT going to install drivers for every piece of crap that may pop up on the party.

Instead I gonna connect them headphone out to line in, my turntable thru Aux in (it is phone input, so it should work fine...) and let my spanish speaking flatmates do their dodgy rap thingy lol (mic in)

Anyway, how can I control volume for all these sources? In the creation mode there is no WAVE slider and no line-in slider to control these sources. There is only Mic in2/line in 2 and AUX faders there.

How to crossfade between different sources using X-Fi mixer?

Control Panel-->Sounds, Speach, and Audio Devices-->Adjust the System Volume-->Properties-->Check all that you need.

Just use that.

Or, go to creative's website and try and download the Creative Surround Mixer. See if that will install.

X-Fi Platinum/Fatal1ty/Elite Pro owners - need your avice

thanks for tips so far, but this is not what I am looking for.
Thanks anyway :D

Virtual dj is really realy cool, but I am looking for "a workspace" with
CD-ROM, line-in, mic-in, aux-in, line-in 2 and wave
faders
to cross-fade beetween physical sources.

Live/Audigy mixer does not work on X-Fi, it is different chip so I am getting "no supported hardware found" msg.

Meanwhile I found a work around:
fading line-in sources in using their own volume ctrl
while fading CD rom OUT using wave fader.
There must be a better way though.
