How do I do ata66 with a WD hard drive and Abit Be6-2?

I have a Western Digital 20 gb ata 66 hard drive, and I can't quite figure out how to get it working on my Be6-2.

I have heard there is something I have to download or something. Am I right?

And, I do have an ata66 cord if anyone asks. I got my hard drive in december and my motherboard just recently.

I tried enabling the ata66 controller on my board and going into the controller and selecting it to run at ata66 but when it goes out, it begins loading windows and it then restarts after being at the windows splash screen for a second.

Anyone that has an Abit Be6-2, can you tell me what I have to select for my drive. The ata66 controller is not very direct, it has the options of like dma and udma and other stuff. No straight out ata66 or dma66 I think.

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

Have you got the umm 'cord' connected so that the blue end is on the mobo and the black end for your drive ?? Should set the controller to UDMA 5.

I got it working! Except that I didn't even have a choice for udma 5, I had to go with udma 4. Is it just me or does it seem faster? Some people say it is not a very noticable difference. What do you think?
