How do I do a clean install of Windows XP?

I'd like to do a clean reformat and reinstall of Windows XP. Is this possible considering I own a Dell system? If it is, how do I go about doing this? I would like to reformat my drive and install just the OS without all the Dell stuff. Thanks,

Also, I'm using AT&T Broadband for Internet access and is there any thing I need to write down (IP, DNS #'s) so that I can get back on the Internet without having to call AT&T? Thanks,

1st:
Boot from the XP CD. XP Pro gives you the option to partition/format during the install. I imagine XP Home will do the same. If you have a Dell XP CD that came with the system, then you will probably get "all the Dell stuff" again.

2nd:
Network settings: If TCP/IP is not set to "Obtain from DHCP server", then write all the numbers down.
