How do i disable windows keys so they don't interrupt me in a game?

When playing half life i accidentally push the windows key when im in a game and that screws up my sound etc. Is there a way to diable the windows key so when I accidentally push it it wont interrupt my game?

But I want to know how to disable the windows key only in the game. I still find the windows keep a useful shortcut on the desktop though, so I can't disable it totally.

1 knife / spoon / lots of anger from being killed when Windows pops up
Pry key off, smash, throw away remaining bits. No more Windows key to disturb you
