How do I disable the WMP video preview in explorer?

Whenever i click on a video file explorer.exe crashes. I just did a clean install of Win2k SP4 and I'm still having the same problem. Not quite sure what's causing it but videos play fine otherwise. Is there anyway I can just disable the preview on the left hand side of explorer?
 
Can also reinstall with nLite and remove the shell media handler... maybe there is a way to do it without reinstalling but I don't know how.
