How do I determine what version of Directx is installed?

I wonder because I believe I just installed a video card that supports Directx 9 and my former one supported Directx 8.

Guess I just answered my question. I went to Windows Help and looked up Directx, and under that "Troubleshooting Directx." That rather complex tool (which I've seen before, but don't know how I got there) indicates I have Directx 9.0b. So, should I get 9.0c and if so, how?

I guess that may work in XP (don't have it), but not in W2K.

OK, I see it now. Under "System Information" there's tree and and none of branches say "Tools". It's a menu item. I didn't see that. Thanks!!
