How do I delete startup items in windows config utility?

When I run "msconfig" and examine my startup list I see many items that I deleted a very long time ago, and I know for a fact they are no longer installed on my PC. Yet, they are still listed in startup. Unchecked, off course, but still there...

How do I delete these and any other files, registry items relating to them? Are there any proggies that make this task easier?

The "System Startup" tool in Spybot Search & Destroy (v. 1.6 is the latest version) does a nice job of that too...

Now where in the registery do you remove trash that's still listed in the "Add or Remove Programs" list?

CCleaner should do the trick for you and what the OP wants too
