How do I delete a single record from the internet history?

Right of the adress field in IE we have the back down arrow. When this arror is clicked the pages that have been visited recently are displayed.

My question now is how I can choose to delete one or two of these but keep the other entries in the history intact?

I know how to clear the history completely but that's not what I am looking for here. I have tried to select one of these records and then press delete, back space etc... but for no good.

Hope that one of you guys know how to delete these records one at a time so I don't have to keep records like www.goooggle.com.....

if you go to start menu/run
type in regedit, it will open the registry editor.
make sure all reg keys are unexpanded go to the edit menu on the registry and select find,
type in what your looking for, it will be contained in a folder marked typedURLs
You can remove the url's you want to remove there.

full path HKey_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/TypedURLs

Download firefox, delete the desktop icon...delete all the saved data when you are "done".

Someone think of the children...

(I find it absurd somenoe would want to clear out mistyped URLs, when you can just bookmark your favorite sites...)

Edit: Don't forget to scrub your Recent Documents history, so your list isn't filled with all those excel documents.

not that I think this is why...

but I never use bookmarks, instead relying on saved URL's....fo gets me to the forums, owa gets me work email, etc

As do I but in the case of the OP, the autocomplete feature would complete "www.google.com" before "www.goooggle.com", no? In the end it's still slower than a link, as typically I don't have many sites that I bookmark anyways. I usually reserve that function for sites with annoying names, or pages beyond the home page of sites.

Open the " History panel by clicking the little clock icon. Next to the Favorites star.
Go to the entries you want to delete in the history panel and select each one with the right mouse button. Then select the delete option.
