i have a seagate 160gb sata 7200rpm hd and the utility it came with will only allow me to format and create partitions... for some reason i accidentally created a really small partition at the end and it won't go away. i think it's less than 3mb.. the utility doesn't have an option to remove the partition and windows keep asking me if i wanna format it but i can't even do that to that tiny partition for some reason. so how do i remove a partition on a sata hard drive?

I'm looking at it through Disk Management in XP SP2. Maybe they changed it in SP2?
If my memory is correct, I remembered formatting that 8MB partition in one of my old computer. Though I never used it. Will formatting that 8MB partition have any adverse effect? I don't remember having any problems with my old computer.

I have another question, if you don't partition the drive will that 8MB partition show up?
