Can you download Tweak XP and use there erase utility to delete the file?

It allows you to write 0s to the spot on the HD were the file is stored. There are programs that just do that and I would try them too. I just can't think of any at the moment.

put the filename in quotes when you try to delete it in a command prompt

C:\>dir *.txt
Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 6066-DB7A

Directory of C:\

01/08/2002 05:58 PM 7 ;.txt
05/07/2002 05:20 PM 49 BIOSID.TXT
2 File(s) 56 bytes
0 Dir(s) 34,448,089,088 bytes free

C:\>del ;.txt
Could Not Find C:\.txt

C:\>del ";.txt"
