How do I customize Win2kpro to stop creating files in "Documents" in "Start" menu?

Those are not files - it's just links to recently open files. To disable this right click on the taskbar, click the properites. Go to start menu, click customize and there should be a check box "Enable recenly opened items" or something like that.

I think Argo's suggestion only works in WinXP. Anyway, to watch your pron in freedom without having to worry about someone else uncovering your tracks, go to this key in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

and create a new DWORD value called NoRecentDocsMenu with a value of 1. Reboot your machine and the Documents folder should be magically gone from the Start Menu.
