Hi,
Ive got a couple of DivX files, and was wondering how to convert them to a format suitable for burning to a cd, using nero.
Ive heard that if you burn the file as a DivX file, then it wont work on DVD players. Is this true?
How much bigger will a 700mb file be once converted to something other than DivX ?
Do you lot know of any FREE programs that`ll do it for me?

Thanks in advance

DivX files are not be playable in a stand-alone dvd player (well, this new company came out with a dvd player with divx support but that's another story). For converting divx to vcd, you can use various mpeg encoding programs such as TMPGEnc, Cinema Craft Encoder, Panasonic MPEG Encoder. The most popular one is TMPGEnc since it's free and provides good quality results. The size of the vcd depends on the quality settings for video/audio. You can make it to fit in one cd, two cd's, etc.
