How do I convert a hard drive under Win XP from Fat32 to NTFS?

Yes I know, read the FAQ. I already did and it said to use convert.exe, my problem is I don't know where to run that program from. I typed it in the "run" window, and I also found the file and double clicked it. Both of these give me a box saying must specify a file system. The only other thing i can think of is that it needs a switch set on it or something, so how exactly do I do it. Also while your in here, why are my hard drives being reported as 28.6gig and 74.5gig, when they are really 30gig and 80gig? Is this due to the 1000MB=1024MB thing.

Are you sure you read the whole FAQ?

The instructions are supposed to be VERY clear, in the second half of the FAQ.

Let me know which part of the FAQ you are having difficulties with. I will be happy to explain it to you.

Well I clicked on general hardware, then on the link at the top with the FAQ's, then I clicked the FAQ on how to convert from Fat32 to NTFS, ah nevermind, I am a retard I just went back there and your right it is correct and all the needed info is there. I appologize for wasting everyones time. By the way though, while I have the FAQ man in here, I noticed that when I click on the link for how do I remove various items from the WinXP shell and desktop, it takes me to the faq about how to disable error reporting in Win XP. This may be a probelm that needs fixed, or I could just be a retard again. LMK

It worked for me. They may have fixed it quickly or just something freaky with your browser.
