Hi,
I Just bought a new Desktop PC from Dell with following specs.
I use it mainly to watch 6 Stock Charts at a time.
So I would like to connect as many monitors as possible but at least 6 at a minimum. ( 24 inch with 1920X1080 ) so I can watch 6 charts on 6 monitors.
I never play games but in the evening watch some videos & that too I can do without if necessary.
Can you guys tell me what is the maximum number of Monitors I can Connect to it with the current configuration?
Also what changes do I need to make to connect 6 Monitors to it ?
Dell XPS 8300
i7-2600 Processor (3.4GHz, 8MB Cache)
Chipset Intel® H67
8GB (4X2GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz Memory
NVIDIA GeForce GT530 - 1GB GDDR3 (VGA/HDMI/DVI)
Windows - 7 Ultimate ( 64 bit )
Thank you all.

You will need a different video card. I would recommend 2 of the cheapest amd cards that support 3 monitors each.

Although your motherboard might not support multiple video cards. How many Pci-e slots does your motherboard have?

If you have 2 slots available 2 of these cards will give you 6 monitors.

2 monitors via HDMI, and then another through displayport. I'm assuming your monitors are DVI monitors

So
HDMI-->DVI, easy

Displayport--> DVi, requires an active adapter, which thankfully are not as expensive as they were a year ago.

2 of those will get you by. They can be found for cheaper, just make sure you get an ACTIVE adapter.

If your computer doesn't have any more free pci-e slots then things get more complicated....

OP needs to tell us how many pcie slots the m/b has or post a picture.

Also need to tell us whatmodel/howmany monitors he has currently, or is willing to buy.

it might be easier to get an eyefinity5 5770 for 5 monitors and use the intel igp out on the m/b for the sixth.

First let me confess that I have very little knowledge of Hardware especially Video Part of it, so I am not sure how many Pci-e slots I have but there is one small port empty that looks like a port that I have sound card on. So I guess it is Pci-e 1 port ?

I can do without sound card if that helps.

I also have a TV Tuner Card that I can throw away if it is useful for video card.

Then my Video Card that I suppose is Pci-e slot or Pci-e 16 slot ?

So where do we go from here ?

I posted the slot situation.

I haven't bought 5 extra monitors yet but current monitor has DVI & VGA ports. I am using the DVI port currently but is it better than VGA ?

Sorry forgot picture part.

I have no way of taking a picture. Don't have any digtal camera or webcam.
Only regular film camera.

I am trying hard to describe the Pci-e slots. I guess that is what you meant right ?

Any other suggestion to find out how many & which type I have ?

P.S. Calling Dell right now to get more info on Motherboard.

Thanks

there is a couple of HD 6950s that do the full 6 in eyefinity but most 6950s only do four, the three slot asus being one that does all 6, but youll need displayport monitors (dell) for four of them
