How do I configure Zone Alarm so that my computers can see each other?

I'm using a workgroup networking or peer to peer, no domain controller or anything like that.

I just want to be able to use Zone Alarm and Windows XP SP2 firewall as well as network my two computers together.

I don't recommend using both, they may conflict with each other. If you are using a router I'd recommend using a static ip for both machines. It's easier in setting up some of the rules I have found.

Add both machines IP addresses to the trusted zone.

I think zona alarm pro may do what you want, not sure though. I dont think its possible wth the free edition, my father tried what you are doing and never got it to work, and hes pretty computer savvy.

I have a ZA free edition, a router, static ips for each comp and put the machine ips in the trusted zone as NightCrawler said above. Makes stuff like port forwarding etc mucho easier.
