Hey,

If I use an Ethernet connection somewhere and then come home and hop on my wifi, the connection specific DNS suffix for the ethernet still bears the name of the old connection thereby showing a history of sorts of where I've been.

I want to clear that suffix.

How do I do this?

I'm using windows 7, but would like to know how to clear it in general.

Thanks.

You want to clear DNS client resolver cache in windows?
For starters, you can do...
ipconfig /flushdns

But, depending on how paranoid you are, there are more levels than just that.
Resetting the cache does not eliminate entries that are preloaded from the local Hosts file. To eliminate those entries from the cache, remove them from this file.
