How do I clean my freezer?

My Ben & Jerry's wasn't fully solid (it was quit liquidy), so I put it back in the freezer. The problem is, I kind of have to wedge them in there and then they can lay on their sides. However, during this wedge, the cap came a bit loose and it leaked some of the chocolately contents on the little tray separating the freezer from the fridge.

Here are some pictures

So, I clean off all the extra chocolately goodness that has leaked out from the Ben & Jerry's container, then I go to clean up the liquid it left in the freezer, but OH NOES, IT HAS FROZEN. It is frozen to the bottom of the tray (which is somehow covered in a thin layer of ice). I don't think I can pull out the freezer tray, so how do I clean it out? I'm thinking putty knife, but I'm in college, so I only have a boxcutter, screwdriver, hammer and some duct tape. Help please?

[Homer] Mmmmmm Ben & Jerry's ice cream. [/Homer]

I would unplug it for a few hours then clean it. Or just to see if it will work get a hair dryer and see if it can melt the ice cream.

EDIT: it's late and I can't spell.

Is that a mini fridge?

Our mini fridge's freezer collected ice mad crazy, we unplugged it and set it in the bath tub.

Apollo 13 was fixed with what you've listed. I'm sure you could figure out how to clean a freezer with them. :p

Seriously though, use a hairdryer if you don't want to unplug it.

could you just use a wet rag? should be warm enough to melt it to clean up. might require some elbow grease, tho.

Apply small, controlled amounts of boiling hot water and wipe it up with a cloth. Repeat until it's clean.
