I've been living here for three years but never poked around the furnace before...
guess what I discovered we have an Electronic air Filter installed.. I think it's basically the same as one of those sharper image ionizers... anyway... How do I clean it... I pulled it out and despite being warned touched one of the colletion fins and received a nice shock...
Do I just pull it and let it discharge then wipe it down? That seems to be the logical option.... or is there a special way i'm supposed to do it?
~~edit....
Hmmmm... On further review it seems like a messed up job... Anybody HVAC... I need some help here...
Heres the setup... I have The EAC which is set in the air return... then on the outflow I have an ...Autoflo 250 humidifier which is taking the heated air and humidifiying it but then the output of the humidifier is routed back into the intake... wouldn't that dry out the air ?!?....
